Dear Literacy Links Volunteer,
Welcome to the Literacy Links family! We are delighted to have you join our community of passionate volunteers who are committed to transforming lives through the power of education.
By choosing to share your time and skills with adult learners, you demonstrate a profound dedication to empowering individuals and strengthening our community. At Literacy Links, we believe in the potential of every adult to grow, thrive, and achieve their dreams—no matter the challenges they face. As a volunteer tutor, your role is invaluable, serving not only as an educator but also as a mentor and a source of encouragement.
Our learners come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique goals—whether it’s learning to read for the first time, preparing for a new career, or gaining confidence to navigate daily tasks. Your contribution in helping them reach their aspirations is immeasurable. The bonds you will form and the progress you will witness are deeply rewarding and often life-changing—for both the learner and the tutor.
We are here to support you every step of the way. From comprehensive training to ongoing resources and professional development opportunities, we aim to equip you with the tools and confidence you need to succeed. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Together, we can ensure a positive and impactful experience for everyone involved.
Thank you for joining us in this meaningful work. Your efforts create a lasting difference, and we are truly grateful to have you on this journey with us. I look forward to celebrating the remarkable milestones you and your learners will achieve together.
Warm regards,
Rachel Ambrose
